Halloween Eh? Well the Parade of lost Souls is back this year and it is taking up Commerical Drive I think on Sat night. You should have an after party. -

It will be a bit of an older Burning Man crowd bit it is a friendly house party for cheap. i say we hit the parde of lost souls. re group at tuulas and then head to the east end for the party.

Halloween Fire Show in Burnaby

Hey all you freeky peeps! Our neighborhood was crying out for some sort of fireworks display, and I thought it might be nice to introduce them to a Burner pyro show... soooo, here it is: We're hosting a free community fire art and pyro show near Brentwood Mall, in Brentwood park, on Halloween night. We're hoping to find some local fire spinners, dancers, and other fire performers who would enjoy coming out and wowing a crowd that hasn't really seen much of this before... after the fire performers we'll be setting off a dozen or so flame effects, from our small dragons to the 1 lb propane poppers all the way up to the 20 pound propane cannons and my Pillar of Creation/Destruction. In case you were wondering, I work in the movie industry here in Vancouver, in Special Effects, and my specialty is Pyrotechnics. Ask me about the Arm of Shiva... <grin>. After the propane effects, we have almost 100 commercial fireworks from 2" up to 6" that have been donated by local special effects brothers. We will be setting these off, provided my permit comes through in time. There will be an after party, of course, as my house is right beside the park! We'd love to see anyone come out to watch, help out, perform, or even just check out the fire art! If you have propane flame effects that you would like to demonstrate, please let me know well in advance, as I would be interested in looking at them before hand.
I think thats the drill so far, We're also having a Mad Scientist's Ball on the Saturday before, but I'll post that in a separate message...
