I think most of you have heard me gushing about my new job at the Potluck Cafe. It is a non-profit company that includes a cafe and a catering company. The money earned through events goes towards job training programmes as well as feeding residents of the Portland Hotel on Hastings. The head chef is currently seeking someone to help in the kitchen, with the catering and various other duties (I think the position is basically the same as mine, so send me a message if you are interested and I will explain it all).
Admittedly, The pay is NOT competitive, but you can feel as fuzzy inside about helping out with a good cause. Please spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested.
